Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) recently gave social media viewers on X a video guide as to how the doors work at the Cannon House Office Building, shedding some more light on Rep. Jamaal Bowman’s (D-NY) move to pull a fire alarm before a vote.
The former middle school principal, Bowman claims he activated the fire alarm, “mistakenly thinking it would open the door” while rushing to vote.
Let me show you how easy it is to exit the Cannon building if doors are closed for the weekend.

No need to pull a fire alarm, you simply have to walk down some steps.
Jamaal Bowman knew what he was doing. He was trying to interrupt the vote.

“Jamal Bowman didn’t pull the fire alarm to try to get out of the building because he had to rush to go vote,” Greene says in the video. She’s calling for Bowman to face federal charges.

In the video, Greene explains how representatives leave the Cannon Office Building. She even points to the fire alarm pulled by Bowman, “This right here is a fire alarm - nowhere does it say ‘pull the fire alarm to open the exit door.’
“Doesn’t say that, and I think ex-middle school principals know better,” she added.
