PETA Wants End To Animal-Themed Carousels - They 'Inflict' Idea Animals Are OK To Ride

PETA has recently written a letter to Chance Rides encouraging them to forgo animal-themed rides and instead focus on vehicles “or more whimsical designs, like shooting stars, rainbows, or brooms.”

Yep. PETA wants to protect you from animal rides.

“Animal-themed carousel sets reinforce the notion that these sentient beings are simply here for our entertainment, rather than individuals with the same capacity to experience fear, pain, joy, and love as any of us,” the letter says.

"Well, these statues are an early childhood memory for many young people, and it helps inflict in them that animals are okay to ride," PETA spokesperson Marissa Price said in a recent appearance on NewsNation.

Imagine riding an animal to travel someplace? Or riding a fake carousel for childhood enjoyment? The horror. So abusive.

The organization requests that Chance Rides change their designs. So far, Chance hasn’t replied. Perhaps they never will.
