Gov. Ron DeSantis criticized both Donald Trump and Joe Biden over their age during GOP primary debate Wednesday evening.

Asked whether he thinks the former president is mentally unfit to serve a second term, DeSantis responded, “I think we need to have somebody younger. I think when you get up to 80, I don't think it's a job for that.”

“We have an opportunity to get the next generation of leaders and really be able to move this country, but we also need a president that can serve two terms,” DeSantis added.

Trump is 77 years old. President Joe Biden is 81. If either of them were to be re-elected they would then become the oldest president to serve a second term.
