Reports indicate that an attorney from Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's office was robbed by an illegal alien with a record of eight prior arrests.

Police say 25-year-old Brandon Simosa confronted the victim, a Manhattan assistant district attorney, in the hallway of her building in the city on Sunday.

WABC reports:

Authorities say he grabbed the victim's purse, cellphone and bank card before exposing himself.

Police were able to track the phone and eventually arrest him near a hotel on West 45th Street and Eighth Avenue on Tuesday, leading authorities to believe the suspect is a migrant.

Simosa is an illegal alien and suspected member of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. Officials say he was in possession of drugs and over $500 worth of stolen clothing at the time of his arrest.

The NY Daily News reports, Simosa’s been arrested eight times since arriving in the U.S., beginning in June, for crimes ranging from robbery to grand larceny to criminal mischief.
