You have to love the humourless leftist media when President Donald Trump is fact-checked over his joking statement regarding alligators.

The Associated Press actually fact-checked Trump for his 'Alligator Alcatraz' claim that zig-zagging when running away from a gator increases you're chances of survival:

“Don’t run in a straight line. Run like this,” Trump said, as he moved his hand in a zigzag motion. “And you know what? Your chances go up about 1%.” Alligator experts suggest it is better to dash in one direction in the rare situation when the reptile gives chase, according to a website run by the University of Florida.

This caused some leftist outlets like "Raw Story" to run headlines claiming "Trump's Guide To Out-Running Alligator Gets Fact Checked - He Wouldn't Make It Far".

Sometimes when the media doesn't get the joke, they simply become one.
