LibsOfTikTok, the massively popular social media personality known for aggregating moments of leftist insanity, is once again finding herself in hot water after boldly daring to repost leftist content. This time, she’s allegedly been bombarded with death threats, and Twitter employees may be mulling whether to de-platform the viral account.

On Monday, LibsofTikTok tweeted an apparent screenshot of a Twitter user claiming that they had sent her a pipe bomb. She urged law enforcement to take action, writing, “Hi @FBI, I’m being threatened with a pipe bomb. Can you please look into this?"

Within four hours, LibsOfTikTok updated her audience, adding in response to a Tweet from journalist Glenn Greenwald, “I received about another 5 death threats in addition to this since yesterday.”

By 7:29 that night, the Twitter personality had allegedly been inundated with violent threats, posting on her account, “Update: I have now received about a dozen death threats after radical leftists accused me of being a domestic terrorist extremist. Twitter has not removed any of the accounts of those who sent the threats.”

This alleged barrage of threats from leftist maniacs led her to announce early on Tuesday that she had decided to “move to a safer location until things calm down.”

The tides finally began to turn in LibsOfTikTok’s favor when Elon Musk, the notorious billionaire and (potentially) the soon-to-be the owner of Twitter responded, “Why? @Twitter”. Musk continued, writing, “A platform cannot be considered inclusive or fair if it is biased against half the country.”

The following day, LibsOfTikTok posted what appeared to be a series of notifications from Twitter informing her that nine of these accounts had been suspended. The light pressure applied by Musk may have been just the kick in the pants Twitter needed to enforce their terms of service in a less one-sided fashion.

We can only hope that Musk’s purchase of Twitter goes through, because this is the kind of leadership that Twitter desperately needs.

This point was further evidenced when LibsOfTikTok revealed what she claimed was a leaked exchange between Twitter employees, during which several were depicted advocating for her censorship.

“But if we deplatform this account, we might erode trust in our platform from users who already think we’re irredeemably biased against conservatives 😱,” one sarcastic employee allegedly wrote.

“I mean we successfully deplatformed Trump - I don’t think deplatforming Libs of TikTok is going to cause a mass exodus but I guess it may not be in our ‘fiduciary’ interest to enact a ban on a high profile account right now…,” said another in the allegedly leaked screenshot, apparently referencing Musk’s potential purchase of the company.

It’s no surprise that Twitter’s ranks are filled with glib, censorious footsoldiers like these, but it underscores the importance of Musk cleaning house if he does go through with the purchase.
