Folks, to be perfectly honest, I don’t really care who’s right and who’s wrong in the whole Michael Oher/“Blind Side” saga — I really don’t. I just think it’s great fun watching the social media minions cannibalize themselves and the “culture” they love.

Full disclosure — I have never seen “The Blind Side.” I never plan on seeing “The Blind Side,” and this is coming from a sports fan. I just felt the whole thing came off as phony, not realizing that it would take 14 years for the subject of the film to grow a backbone and say it was a misrepresentation of what actually happened…ironically now that Oher’s NFL career is over and the money well has dried up.

But, that’s not the reason for this blog.

According to Breitbart, the idiots on social media are going after actress Sandra Bullock, saying she should return her Oscar for her portrayal of Leigh Anne Tuohy simply for being associated with the movie for pushing a possibly false narrative.

(Note: The tweet below is from a Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Ga.) parody account.)

"The Blind Side" actor Quinton Aaron spoke with TMZ about the call, by some, for Bullock to give back her Oscar, saying "it doesn't make any sense."

“We live in a society today where people are so hellbent on pointing blame on people,” Aaron said. “And, to make a statement like that doesn’t make any sense. Sandra Bullock didn’t have anything to do with the real story.”

Here’s the thing…it’s a movie very loosely based on what was pushed for 14 years — until very recently — as a true story.

Why don’t we take away the late Heath Ledger’s Oscar for his portrayal of The Joker in “The Dark Knight,” because a newer version of the character is different? Or should we take back J.K. Simmons’ Oscar from the movie “Whiplash,” because his character isn’t an accurate representation of a typical jazz band instructor?

Most times people will say that actors and actresses should just shut up and act. But, in this case, everyone should just shut their mouths, because not only is it not their story, but it also means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

On the other hand, watching these morons eat themselves alive is far more entertaining than the vast majority of what Hollywood has given us in recent years. So who am I to say anything other than, ‘Have at it. Take each other out, and maybe we’ll eventually get some entertainment worth watching.’
