‘Draw Mohammed’ Contest Winner Kicked Off Facebook, Defends Cartoon

Bosch Fawstin, the winner of the “Draw Mohammed” contest in Garland, Texas, tweeted on Thursday that he had been kicked off Facebook.

He said Facebook had then contacted him, demanding that he provide “unwarranted details” before allowing Fawstin access to his account. He didn't specify just what sorts of details, but it's safe to assume that they were highly personal, even for a social media website.

Facebook later restored his page without explanation.

In an interview with The Blaze, Fawstin defended himself for participating in the contest. He told host Dana Loesch that he refuses to be in hiding for exercising his First Amendment rights.

“Once free speech goes, it’s over,” Fawstin said.

Two gunmen, one confirmed to have declared his loyalty to ISIS, opened fire on the free speech event organized by the American Freedom Defense Initiative on Sunday night.

The liberal media were quick to the blame the organizers of the event—specifically Pamela Geller, the president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative—for provoking the attack, as opposed to the jihadists bent on mass murder.
