Dozens of Detained Illegal Aliens Are On a Hunger Strike to Protest the U.S. Asylum Process

Per a court order, immigration officials are having to force-feed illegal aliens who’ve declared a hunger strike at some border detention facilities.

According to reports, more than 20 illegal aliens who were caught crossing the U.S. border illegally are now refusing to eat, saying they’re protesting everything from threats of deportation from border guards to the length of time it’s taking for immigration judges to hear their case.

Some of them have reportedly been refusing to eat for more than 30 days, even to the point of not being able to stand.

NBC reports that 11 illegal aliens are on a hunger strike in an Arizona facility, while another four are spread across Miami, Phoenix, San Diego and San Francisco.

The AP has reported that another 30 or so Cuban and Chinese migrants have refused food for over a month, and that U.S. immigration officials are force-feeding six immigrants in El Paso through plastic nasal tubes per a court order.

So just to recap, for the hard of reading: dozens of illegal aliens who willfully ignored U.S. immigration law and crossed the border unlawfully are now refusing to eat and forcing immigration officials -- who will surely be demonized for it -- to force-feed them through tubes because they're unhappy with the detention process they signed up for.

Let that sink in.
