DONE: Trump Acquitted

It’s done.

The Senate voted Wednesday, and as expected, President Donald Trump was acquitted of both articles of impeachment brought forth by House Democrats in a partisan vote.

“It is therefore ordered and adjudged that the said Donald John Trump be, and he is hereby, acquitted of the charges in the said articles,” Chief Justice John Roberts said after the votes.

The final vote tallies showed 52-48 favoring acquittal of abuse of power, 53-47 of acquittal on the second article of obstruction of Congress.

Shortly after votes, the President took to Twitter with an interesting Tweet.
