Does Carbon Footprint Matter? New Report Now Says Cleaner Air During Pandemic 'Warms the Planet'

Okay, so which is it global warming/climate change cultists? Because, you can’t have it both ways.

For years we’ve been told how humans have massively contributed to the “greenhouse effect,” because “the burning of fossil fuels like coal and oil has increased the concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide. That’s part of the reason they always castigate you for your “carbon footprint.” All this is what has supposedly led to the warming up of our planet.

Now, according to multiple researchers contributing to an Advancing Earth and Space Science (AGU) report, the Earth is heating up because the air has been cleaner as a result of less travel during the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. The report was published in Geophysical Research Letters journal.

“COVID-19 induced lockdowns led to reductions in aerosol and precursor emissions, chiefly soot or black carbon and sulfate (SO4),” the report states. “This is found to reduce the human caused aerosol cooling: creating a small net warming effect on the earth in spring 2020.”

“Clean air warms the planet a tiny bit, but it kills a lot fewer people with air pollution,” said Andrew Gettleman, lead researcher of the study, according to the Associated Press (AP).

But we’ve been told for years that we need to stop global warming in its tracks, so which is it?

How will global warming bring about a global apocalypse, but a tiny bit of warming “kills a lot fewer people?”

I’m sure there’s some explanation that will contradict the previous one, which keeps people confused as to whether or not to take climate change and global warming seriously.

Studies like this, that contradict years of public narratives, is why climate skeptics exist.

I'm all for not being a pig when it comes to taking care of the planet, and I know we’re all supposed to “follow the science,” but what happens when “the science” plays both sides of the fence?
