Rand Paul refused to let Democrats define the debate yesterday and called out DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL,) telling reporters to ask her: “Is it okay to kill a 7-pound baby in the uterus?”

Wasserman Schultz gave her response to CNN:

“Here’s an answer. I support letting women and their doctors make this decision without government getting involved. Period. End of story. Now your turn, Senator Paul. We know you want to allow government officials like yourself to make this decision for women –– but do you stand by your opposition to any exceptions, even when it comes to rape, incest, or life of the mother? Or do we just have different definitions of ‘personal liberty’? And I’d appreciate it if you could respond without ‘shushing’ me.”

Senior reporter for CNN Politics Chris Moody tweeted:

She “says there should be no restrictions on abortion whatsoever. Is the party united on this?” asked Moody. Wasserman Schultz isn’t alone in this, of course – President Barack Obama does not want any restrictions on abortion and has voted down a partial-birth abortion bill.

Hate to break it to CNN, but that’s been the Democrat party line for a long time now.
