For the first time in forever, Walt Disney World has witnessed a drastic decrease in summer crowds – and Disney fans & reporters alike do not want to let it go unnoticed.

“According to data from Touring Plans, a company that tracks major amusement parks, the average wait time for a ride in the flagship Magic Kingdom park on the July 4 holiday was 27 minutes, down 13% from 2022 (31 minutes) and 43% below pre-pandemic levels in 2019 (47 minutes),” noted reporter Cork Gaines of Business Insider. “It was also the third-slowest day in the past year at Hollywood Studios, despite the park being home to the uber-popular Star Wars attractions.”

Other reporters have claimed that, although the summer data is most shocking, the trend first started months ago.

“When looking at prior-year numbers, this June was 7 minutes lower on average, dropping from an 8/10 crowd level last June,” reported Disney Tourist Blog’s Tom Bricker. “Even more notably, every single month this year since February has been slower than its counterpart in 2022. January 2023 was the last month that was busier than last year (significantly so, although at least part of that comes down to the timing of New Year’s Eve and winter breaks). Every month since has been slower in 2023 than last year.”

Granted, several reporters have pointed out valid non-ideological factors that might be contributing to the lower crowds.

“Disney World has increased prices lately (and defended those increases),” remarked Cinema Blend Managing Editor Jessica Rawden. “It’s added costs with services like Genie+, it’s hot in Florida in July to begin with (though that usually doesn’t deter families), there has been a lot of talk about the company’s policies in recent months, and then travel was a problem over the Fourth of July weekend and more.”

But conservatives hav also rightly noted the company's recent "woke" agenda, accusing Disney of alienating right-leaning customers by pushing a radical LGBTQ agenda and other leftist propaganda.

Breitbart’s John Nolte wrote a both scathing and celebratory take on the issue.

“Could it be that other factors are hurting Disney World attendance?” he asked. “Perhaps the fact that Disney has openly embraced grooming is a factor. Perhaps Disney sexualizing everything aimed at kids is a factor. Perhaps turning its theme parks into a joyless, Woke Dystopia might have something to do with this. Perhaps, decent parents no longer feel it’s safe to expose their impressionable, innocent children to a company desperate to destroy that innocence by way of drag queens, transsexuals, and transvestites?”

While Disney World's decline may not be entirely attributable to fewer conservatives visiting the park, it's undeniable that right-leaning boycotts have had significant impacts on certain companies that have traded customer service for a "woke" agenda. Bud Light sales have continued to plummet following the brand's partnership with trans TikToker Dylan Mulvaney, while retailer Target's stock value took a major hit following rightwing backlash against the chain's "tuck-friendly" and gender-"inclusive" apparel during "Pride month."
