Did John Kerry Watch 'Network' Before Making His 'Borderless World' Claim?

In a comment reminiscent of Arthur Jensen’s utopian vision in the prophetic 1976 movie “Network,” Sec. of State John Kerry told Northeastern University graduates on Saturday that they should get ready for a “borderless world.”

"The future demands from us something more than a nostalgia for some rose-tinted version of the past that did not really exist in any case," Kerry said. "You're about to graduate into a complex and borderless world."

In “Network,” media mogul Jensen describes his utopian world vision to his star host, Howard Beale, in a compelling monologue that’s eerily similar to today’s liberal vision:

“There are no nations. There are no peoples. There are no Russians. There are no Arabs. There are no Third Worlds. There is no West. There is only one holistic system of systems.”

“There is no America, there is no democracy.”

“We no longer live in a world of nations and ideologies.”

“Our children will live, Mr. Beale, to see that perfect world in which there is no war, or famine or oppression or brutality. One vast and ecumenical holding company for whom all men will work to serve a common good, in which all men will hold a share of stock – all necessities provided, all anxieties tranquilized…all boredom, amused.”

Sound familiar?

Watch Jensen’s mesmerizing monologue and see if this speech could just as easily have been given today by a liberal politician running for office.
