The average person might never understand just how egregious the Democrat case for impeachment against former President Donald Trump really was. It’s not their fault, either. Most people are too busy trying to juggle family and work, among other things, to pay too much attention to the supposed-to-be solemn process of impeachment — which has been watered down to not mean much anymore.
Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) joined Fox News host Laura Ingraham on “The Ingraham Angle” on Monday to talk a little bit about the lack of transparency from Democrats concerning both the failures that occurred during the events of January 6 at the U.S. Capitol and the second impeachment trial of Trump.
Following a brief overview of a GOP letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) demanding answers “about [Pelosi’s] responsibility for the security of the Capitol,” of which Nunes took part in, the Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence gave his two cents as to how insane the entire impeachment process has been and how long the American public have been lied “over the last five years.”
For the most part, most Americans did not see how badly the Democrats from the House were destroyed in the Senate — about how they doctored evidence, how they falsified evidence. This was presented to the U.S. Senate. This is not normal behavior in the course of the history of the United States of America. But it’s become the norm over the last five years, as we’ve seen gone from a Russia hoax, to a fake impeachment. This was really a debacle, Laura. I hope everybody understands. People should go back and watch that.
Whether we’re talking about the tweet from Jennifer Lynn Lawrence that Impeachment Manager Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) allegedly doctored to make it seem as though “verified” Twitter users were being “called to action” by Trump ahead of the events of Jan. 6, or whether we’re talking about the selectively edited footage of Trump’s speech — which began 20 minutes before Trump began speaking, as reported by The Federalist — to gear the narrative to Democrat’s liking, the word “sham” might be a nice way to describe the Senate impeachment trial.
