During a promotion for a movie in England, Johnny Depp made comments about assassinating President Trump.

Video from the NME, shows Depp noting that his comments would be controversial during his Q&A discussion in Glastonbury.

"This is going to be in the press, and it will be horrible,” Depp says.

“When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?” he then asked, referencing John Wilkes Booth assassinating President Abraham Lincoln.

The audience cheered.

“I want to clarify, I am not an actor. I lie for a living,” Depp said. “However, it has been a while and maybe it is time.”

The assassination comments from Depp come just a week after the politically motivated assassination attempt of GOP members at a baseball practice in Alexandria, Va.
