Democrats Say They 'Don't Take Money' from PACS in Fundraising Pitch

Does Obama really think anyone  believes he is the epitome of transparency and playing by the rules?

Democrats used Michelle Obama's 51st birthday on Saturday to solicit donations for the Democrat party. The invitation on Democrats.org reads as follows:

"Thanks for signing our card for Michelle! Now, can you take the next step and support Democrats?. . . Unlike our opponents, we don't take money from special interests, corporate lobbyists, and political action committees."

Are they referring to birthday party donations only? Maybe, Democrats.org doesn't take money from PACs, but it sure seems as if Democrats do.

And, it depends on your definition of special interest, which lobbyist is backed by a corporation (very few are, right?), and that Political Action Committees don't give directly to the Democrat party itself.

As Huffington Post reported in “Democrats Top List of Super PAC Mega-Donors,”:

“Democratic super PACs continue to attract more money than their Republican counterparts, due in part to a huge amount of support from deep-pocketed mega-donors."
