Mainstream news outlets are pretty much the propaganda department of the Democrat Party. But their sickening attempts to sully Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ reputation disgusted even Democrat politicians.

On Monday, Palm Beach County Mayor Dave Kerner (D) decried the “60 Minutes” feature run by CBS that presented a skewed, inaccurate view of DeSantis’ handling of his state's COVID-19 vaccine distribution, according to The Federalist.

The program basically asserted that the Florida governor was “engaging in political patronage to prioritize vaccine distribution through Publix,” The Federalist reported. Publix is a supermarket chain with an extensive presence in the state. The company had donated to DeSantis’ 2018 campaign.

Kerner declared that CBS was lying.

“The reporting was not just based on bad information – it was intentionally false,” he said in a statement. “I know this because I offered to provide my insight into Palm Beach County’s vaccination efforts and 60 minutes declined. They know that the Governor came to Palm Beach County and met with me and the County Administrator and we asked to expand the state’s partnership with Publix to Palm Beach County.”

“We also discussed our own local plans to expand mass vaccinations centers throughout the county, which the Governor has been incredibly supportive,” Kerner claimed. “We asked and he delivered. They had that information, and they left it out because it kneecaps their narrative.”

Jared Moskowitz, Florida’s current Director of Emergency Management and a former Democrat member of the state’s legislature, also denounced the narrative peddled by CBS back in March in a reply on Twitter, since the story was also perpetuated by the Miami Herald.

“This idea why Publix was picked has been utter nonsense,” he tweeted. “We reached out to all pharmacies and they were the only one who at the time could execute on the mission.”

In short, CBS appears to have been lying to their audience. It’s time to tune off from these despicable and deceptive people.
