Dem. Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) says President Trump “made false claims” during his State of the Union Address, taking credit for “other’s successes.”
“He took credit for job creation under President Obama,” Hoyer said during a press conference on Wednesday.
“He made claims about his tax bill that have been debunked - instead he has given tax cuts to the wealthy, the upper one percent,” Hoyer continued.
“And he claimed he restored our standing in the world. I can’t understand where he’s getting his facts from, or his information from, but he must be reading fake news. Because all over the world we are seeing a reduction in the confidence in the leadership in the United States.”
“The president’s speech was a disappointment,” Hoyer said.
Hoyer might be generating some “fake news” of his own.
