The City University of New York (CUNY) is partnering with a local Planned Parenthood affiliate to offer a full scholarship to one grad student who agrees to work with the abortion clinic on “reproductive justice” issues.

The opportunity is being offered through CUNY’s Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy to develop one lucky student's “theoretical knowledge and practical skills in applying a sexual and reproductive justice (SRJ) lens to address disparities in sexual and reproductive health in New York City,” according to the program's application.

(P.S.: "reproductive justice"? Yeah, that means the legal right to abortion.)

According to Campus Reform, “The Joan Malin Reproductive Justice Fellowship will give one student at CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy a full-tuition scholarship and a fully-funded internship at a local Planned Parenthood office if the student agrees to work on various 'sexual and reproductive justice' tasks.”

A CUNY spokesperson reportedly told Campus Reform that Planned Parenthood had approached the school about the scholarship program, and that the school had agreed because the abortion provider offers a “full-range of essential sexual and reproductive care to all who seek it.”

“Adrienne Vermilli, the spokeswoman of Planned Parenthood of NYC, agreed, saying that the fellowship will give CUNY students ‘the opportunity to gain relevant experience from PPNYC’s sexual and reproductive care to all people who walk through our doors.’” Campus Reform added.

Just an FYI, state taxpayer funding comprises a full 60 percent of CUNY’s total operating budget, while federal grants support their academic research, according to their own website. Only 40 percent of CUNY’s costs are covered by student tuition costs.

So have fun forking over your hard-earned cash to a school that encourages its students to learn how to best perpetuate infanticide.
