Chuck Schumer Refuses To Comment On Bill Clinton's #MeToo Controversy

Remember when Democrats praised the importance of the #MeToo movement? I do. And they were right to do so. But now that Bill Clinton is involved? Well – no comment.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) refused to share his thoughts on the recent comments from Bill Clinton regarding his alleged affair with Monica Lewinsky, even when asked by CNN host Chris Cuomo.

"What Bill Clinton said about #MeToo, a lot of controversy. Your take?" Cuomo asked.

"Not getting into that," Schumer said.

"Because?" Cuomo asked.

"I think it's irrelevant to what we need to talk about," Schemer responded.

"MeToo?" Cuomo asked, referring to the movement empowering victims of sexual abuse to tell their stories.

"No, MeToo is important," Schemer said, appearing slightly irritated. "What Bill Clinton said, [the] public can judge for themselves."

"How are both of those things true at the same time?" Cuomo asked.

"They're true at the same time because you judge people by their actions, plain and simple," Schumer asserted.

Here's my question for good ol' Cryin' Chuck: Is it really that hard to call Bill Clinton what he is – a creep who used his political power to take advantage of women?

It shouldn't be very hard to do so if we "judge people by their actions" as the senator says. But at least Schumer is loyal to his party, right? That's all that seems to matter nowadays.
