In an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” Monday night, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz discussed his strategic alliance with Ohio Gov. John Kasich to prevent Donald Trump from getting enough delegates to clinch the party’s nomination.

“Governor Kasich made the decision to pull out of the state of Indiana… And we’ve made the decision to go all in in Indiana,” he said.

“Where we are now, nobody is going to get to 1,237… I’m not going to do it, but neither is Donald Trump,” said Cruz.

Host Sean Hannity first interviewed Trump, during which the GOP presidential frontrunner echoed his earlier remarks calling the Cruz-Kasich alliance a “collusion.”

“It’s collusion,” he told Hannity. “In business, you go to jail for that.”

“They’re coming together because they’re getting beaten badly,” he added.

Five states are at stake on Tuesday: Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware, and Connecticut.

After Tuesday's primaries, Cruz will be focused on winning Indiana on May 3.

Kasich pulled out of Indiana and will instead be campaigning in Oregon and New Mexico ahead of their primaries on May 17 and June 7, respectively.
