During “Free Speech Week,” Americans need to take heed of the danger of the leftist media’s ongoing efforts to censor their opinions and access to information, Media Research Center Founder and President Brent Bozell warns in a new op-ed, co-authored with Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah)

In “Free Speech Week calls for a return to First Amendment liberties,” published Friday in The Washington Examiner, Bozell and Lee explain how, while leftist media elites – especially Big Tech executives like Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg –  publicly claim to support free speech, behind the scenes, their organizations have policies and practices that censor conservative views and information, just as they did with the Hunter Biden laptop news prior to the 2020 elections.

“Censorship from the Left across any medium is undoubtedly one of the greatest threats to freedom in our country,” they write, citing survey results showing that disturbingly large percentages of Democrats believe that freedom of speech should be limited and think that Americans have “too much freedom,” in general.
