On Monday, the House Budget Committee released a “Debt Tracking Report” detailing how the national debt has skyrocketed during the Biden Administration.
The national debt topped $35 trillion on July 29, 2024, increasing $7.25 trillion in the three and a half years since Biden took office. Thus, about twenty percent of the current national debt has been added during Biden’s time in the White House, so far.
Under the Biden Administration, the national debt has been increasing at a rate of $5.6 billion in new debt per day. But, over the past 12 months, the daily rate of accumulation has been even greater, averaging $6.4 billion.
At $35 trillion, the national debt equates to:
- $104,497 per person (up $21,634 under Biden).
- $266,275 per household (up $55,128 under Biden).
- $483,889 per child (up $100,181 under Biden).
