Allowing biological males to compete against women – especially in violent sports like boxing – is “violence against women,” El Salvador President Nayib Bukele told U.S. President Donald Trump during an Oval Office meeting on Monday.

“Do you allow men to play in women’s sports? Do you allow men to box your women?” Trump asked Pres. Burkele, noting that boxing is a popular sport in El Salvador.

“That’s violence. That’s violence against women,” Burkele replied, calling it “abuse” to allow biological males to compete against women.

“Your country’s not too big on that,” Trump said.

“No, of course not. We’re big on protecting women,” Burkele replied.

Ironically, the same people who fought for the laws that currently protect women’s sports in El Salvador are now demanding new laws “allowing men to abuse women in sports,” Pres. Burkele said:

“A decade ago or so, women’s rights movements were pressuring, so that we enacted specific laws to avoid men abusing women. A lot of those laws were brave, because a lot of men were abusing women.

“But now, some of the same people are trying to backtrack, and actually trying to make new laws allowing men to abuse women in sports.

“It doesn’t make sense.”

When it comes to the workplace, however, many women are clearly the most talented, Pres. Burkele said:

“As you can see, most of my cabinet are women.”
