After months of ignoring protests from parents and teachers at board meetings, the leftist Tin Ears on the Loudoun County, VA school board have driven one teacher to resign right in front of the board.

She says she has "no regrets" and her courage is kindling others to stand on principle.

"School Board, I quit," Fifth Grade teacher Laura Morris told the Loudoun County Public Schools Board Tuesday, August 10, adding, “I quit your policies, I quit your training, and I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly politicized agendas to our most vulnerable constituents – children."

Ms. Morris also cited the mandatory “training” the political body made her undergo, training that incorporates part of the Critical Race Theory assumption that, merely because someone is a certain color, he or she is, by his or her nature, tacitly guilty of committing some kind of race-based injustice against a minority.

Within the last year, I was in one of my so-called equity trainings that White, Christian, able-bodied females currently ‘have the power’ in our schools and (that) ‘this has to change…’

Of course, for the leftists who claim X, Y, or Z is a problem, the answer is to use the force of government to “solve it.” The prescription never “fixes” the supposed problem.

Increased out-of-wedlock births, increases in crime rates, decreases in literacy and numeracy… All a result of, or correlated to, greater government involvement in welfare programs and increased political control of education.

But, if one were to listen to the promoters of Critical Race Theory, “systemic racism” exists not in government, but in society, where the “haves” possess their wealth because of “the system” of capitalism.

Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts (R) understands what lies at the heart of such Critical Race Theory nonsense: the Marxist, envy-based hunger for political power and for the fruits of other people’s labor.

Instead of the old narrative of class warfare, CRT envisions a race-based Marxism that divides people along racial lines.  It’s packaged under innocuous sounding terms such as ‘equity’ or ‘anti-racism,’ but it seeks to re-write our country’s history and reimagine public policy all based on a Marxist worldview.

And it does so by means of claiming that anyone who supports individual liberty and opposes the forced redistribution of wealth through government is inherently, “unconsciously” racist.

Fifth Grade teacher Laura Morris got enough of that nonsense in her “training,” and she would not foist that poisonous paranoia onto the kids she is supposed to teach.

Recognizing the REAL systemic problem as that of the government school cabal, she stood before the LCPS board and audience and told the board members:

Clearly, you've made your point. You no longer value me or many other teachers you've employed in this county. So since my contract outlines the power that you have over my employment in Loudoun County Public Schools, I thought it necessary to resign in front of you.

That was a courageous and principled act, and Ms. Morris deserves respect. Perhaps more people will be inspired by her, perhaps more teachers will follow her in the exodus from government-run schools.

Children are leaving in droves, demand for homeschooling and homeschool groups is rising.

Ms. Morris’ powerful act likely will see more teachers shift away from the public school systems and move into private and home-based instructional paradigms.

"I don't regret what I did," Morris told Fox News on Thursday.

Reportedly, Morris quickly received many job offers and has already accepted a position at a private, Christian school.

Some are learning faster than others. The lessons being shown are clear.
