The clothing company that brought you the President Trump bathing suit is also offering a one-piece bathing suit that’s supposed to mimic male body hair. If that’s not disturbing enough, the writers at sex magazine Cosmopolitan are wondering why it doesn’t include pubic hair.

Cosmo’s Hannah Smothers decided to write an entire article, clocking in at almost 250 words, about how the body hair swimsuit does not offer realistic pubic hair.

After praising the Beloved Shirts for offering an array of different skin tones for the suit, Smothers says the suit is “great,” but that it “obliterates the pubes”:

The suit is great, especially if you're the sort of person who gets a real kick out of those beach coverups that make it look like you're wearing a bikini when really you're wearing a big shirt. Imagine wearing one of those coverups over this swimsuit. How fun! But, I will say, the Sexy Chest One Piece Swimsuit does have one glaring problem that just can't be unseen or ignored, which is that it completely obliterates the pubes. And what I mean by "completely obliterates the pubes" is that there are no pubes to be had no this otherwise very body-hair-positive swimming suit.

Smothers continues to ask the question no one seems to want to ask, which is “WHAT is with this weird, crotch-but-not-actually-a-crotch area?!?”

According to Smothers, not including pubic hair on a bathing suit that will presumably be worn in public at a pool or a beach is not in the name of body-positivity. She writes, “For a suit that is seemingly very pro-body hair, the most fun body hair is completely missing!” and makes the demand, “Bring back the pubes.”
