MRCTV attended a Herman Cain rally on the U.S. Capitol in Washington DC Monday and asked Herman Cain, Alveda King, Dick Morris, Dinesh D'Souza, Joe the Plumber and others what they felt about the liberal claim that enforcing Voter ID Law supresses the Black and Hispanic vote.

Herman Cain said Debbie Wassermann Schultz's comments that "The GOP is dragging us back to the days of Jim Crow with voter ID law "is  "a big fat lie."

"They’re not taking us back to Jim Crow, the only reason that the liberals don’t want photo-ID in order for people to vote is because it makes it easier for them to cheat at the polls,” said Cain.

Dr. Alveda King, niece of the civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., said liberals are playing the race card and that "in the liberal establishment there is a lot of playing the race card and that has to stop, and people like Rev. Jesse Jackson are real good at it, stirring up anarchy."

"When someone can come in and pretend that they are [Attorney General Eric] Holder and get the opportunity to vote with that kind of fraud--you don't want voter fraud--I know voter fraud is a problem, dead people vote in America." she said.

Dick Morris, political strategist and former adviser of President Bill Clinton, said every state should issue a voter ID card with their photo on it, just as they do driver’s license and liberals are only making ID Law an issue because "they are clinging to anything they can possibly find to kindle a sense of African American or Latino victimization which would impel a turnout and get people out to vote."

"It is in the interest of the Democratic party to have lighter standards that don’t check who is voting and what are the rules that are being enforced," said D'Souza, New York Times best-selling author and President of The King's College in New York.

"We have lots of people who live in this country who aren't citizens. There is nothing wrong in checking to make sure the people who are voting are eligible and are supposed to vote, otherwise a lot of people end up voting who aren’t supposed to vote and that is cheating," said D'Souza.

Joe the Plumber said allowing liberals to paint the narrative is "ridiculous".

"Having an ID is paramount in this country, when you turn 16 years old you want a license, in order to get welfare you have to have some type of ID, it’s not racist."
