Madison Rising uses popular culture and rock music  to promote conservative, pro-military and pro-American values. The band has already ranked in the top 100 selling rock albums on Amazon & iTunes. Yet the band and their manager, Richard Mgrdechian claim because of their pro-American message, they’re facing a ton of discrimination from the music industry. The following is a recent press release issued by Mgrdechian:

Pro-American Rock Band Blacklisted From The Music Industry

New York, March 29, 2012.. Pro-American rock band, Madison Rising (www.madisonrising.com) uses great rock music to promote constitutional, pro-American and pro-military values. The band has already ranked in the top 100 selling rock albums on Amazon & iTunes and has legions of dedicated fans all over the country. However, because oftheir pro-American message, the band is facing serious hostility and discrimination as they strive to make their way through the ultra-liberal entertainment industry.

Among other things, major magazines refuse to publish stories written on them by writers they have worked with multiple times in the past. In particular, just last week both Relix magazine and Guitar.com rejected stories on Madison Rising, even though the band’s guitar players (Alex Bodnar and Chris Schreiner) are themselves award winning guitarists. Also, despite national headlines and sales of thousands of albums, virtually every booking agent, promoter, venue distributor and publisher they have approached has flat out said that they will not work with them. Earlier this week, their upcoming June 2nd gig at the Bowery Electric in NYC was suddenly canceled by the venue, which told them that upon further review, Madison Rising was not welcome to play there.

“I’ve even sent in inquiries to advertise on major music sites like Revolver and never even got a response,” said Madison Rising’s manager, Richard Mgrdechian. “Not only will they not write about us, they won’t even take our money. People have even gone as far as saying that we’re not music, just right-wing propaganda. Apparently the Left cannot only define what is and is not free speech, but also what is and what is not music.”

Madison Rising brings great rock music back into the forefront of popular culture. With songs ranging from the lyrically powerful and guitar heavy opening track “Right To Bear,” to the hauntingly epic sounds of “Honk If You Want Peace,” to the beautiful violins and cello of “Hallowed Ground,” it is clear that this band is on a mission to not only make great music, but to also send a message that American culture is alive and well.
