CNN's Acosta: Trump is the 'King of Fake News'

I would compare CNN’s Jim Acosta a worm, but that might be offensive to actual worms.

One day after Acosta was kicked out of the Oval Office by President Trump after trying to prove somehow that Trump is a racist — and in the same day Trump released his “Fake News Awards” — Acosta joined a panel of other White House correspondents at the Newseum in Washington D.C. to discuss the state of the media and, of course, Trump.

After being asked by a POLITCO reporter what they thought about Trump’s “Fake News Awards,” Acosta took the reigns and spoke as if he had some sort of courage.

Here’s what Sour Grapes Boy had to say:

I would say, having been called fake news myself, that the President of the United States is the king of fake news. He is the king of fake news. He said Barack Obama was not born in this country. He said Mexican are rapists and criminals. He has said many things. He has said he lost the election because undocumented people voted by the millions. He said that he had the largest inauguration crowd of all time. The list goes on and on. And I don’t want people to think that I am saying that because I have an ax to grind or I am here to criticized or be political or have an agenda or whatever you were saying earlier, it’s just a fact.

I’m sorry — not really — but it’s super laughable for Acosta to say that he’s not saying those things out of animus towards Trump. He literally was kicked out of the Oval Office the day before giving these remarks. If Acosta is trying to pretend that he’s some kind of unbiased journalist, he’s failing miserably.

This dude even paused after calling Trump “the king of fake news,” and the applause was moderate at best.

As a journalist, you don’t have to like everybody. That’s not the job. Nobody is asking Acosta to like Trump. But, when you’re a White House correspondent, at least have the ability to conduct yourself in a way that doesn’t make you look like a clown.

“It’s unfortunate that the president has sunk to that level where he has to go around issuing these kinds of awards,” Acosta, the Debbie Downer of the event, continued. “It’s just not what you would think would happen in this country.”

Maybe if Acosta and the rest of CNN actually performed the job of journalism once in a while, the president wouldn’t come up with awards for them that we all laugh at while CNN cringes.
