CNN Producer Caught Admitting the Trump/Russia Story Is 'Mostly Bulls***'

“But, all the nice cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school, you’re just like, that’s adorable. That’s adorable. This is a business.”

That was an actual statement from a top CNN producer, caught on tape and released Monday evening by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas organization. The tape reveals a secretly recorded conversation between an undercover reporter and CNN Supervising Producer John Bonifield.

Ethics apparently has no place in the current relationship between “journalism” and politics, as if it ever did.

Bonifield divulges a ton of personal opinion on how CNN has been covering the investigation into whether or not Russia interfered with last year's presidential election. Bonifield, unaware he was being recorded, admitted multiple times to the undercover reporter that he, and the CNN team in general, knew the whole thing was "mostly bullshit," but added they were focused on spinning the Trump collusion narrative for "ratings."

“Even if Russia was trying to swing an election, we try to swing their elections,” Bonifield said. “Our CIA is doing shit all the time, we’re out there trying to manipulate governments.”

In a separate setting, Bonifield was all too comfortable in giving his honest assessment of the whole “scandal”:

Could be bullshit. I mean, it’s mostly bullshit right now. Like, we don’t have any big giant proof. But then they say, well there’s still an investigation going on. I don’t know, if you were finding something, we would know about it. The way these leaks happen, they’d leak it. It’d leak. If it was something really good, it would leak.

"Then why is CNN constantly, like, Russia this, Russia that?" the undercover reporter asked.

"Because it’s ratings," Bonifield responded.

Did you notice a boat sinking? Neither did CNN, because they still continue making the Trump/Russia saga headline news.

At one point in the video, Bonifield openly admitted to the Veritas reporter that Trump was correct in one of his assertions.

“And so I think the President is probably right to say, like, look you are with-hunting me,” Bonifield observed. “You have no smoking gun, you have no real proof.”

There proves to be more fireworks coming from Vertias’ CNN undercover footage, as the group says that this video is only part one of a larger expose.
