Careful, CNN. Your blatant racism is showing.
During a panel discussion on CNN host Don Lemon’s show Tuesday night, a slew of left-leaning commentators – and Lemon – took turns taking pot shots at rapper Kanye West, who’s parted ways with many of his Hollywood counterparts but openly supporting President Donald Trump and criticizing the left for trying to “control” black people.
While Lemon chortled along, panelist Bakari Sellers called West a “negro who doesn’t read.”
“Kanye West is what happens when Negroes don’t read. And we have this now, and now Donald Trump is going to use this and pervert it, and he’s gonna have somebody who can stand with him and take pictures,” Sellers commented.
Politcal commentator Tara Setmayer dubbed the rapper a “token negro” and suggested black America was ready to “trade” Kanye in the “racial draft.”
“Listen, black folks are about to trade Kanye West in the racial draft, okay?” she said. “They’ve had it with him. And he’s an attention whore like the president. He’s all of a sudden now the model spokesperson; he’s the token Negro of the Trump administration? This is ridiculous. And no one should be taking Kanye West seriously. He clearly has issues. He’s already been hospitalized.”
Lemon chuckled along, at one point remarking at the (apparently laughable?) look on his one white guest’s face as the others spewed racist slurs.

But hey, maybe Lemon did us a favor. After all, it’s impossible to deny that this is exactly what the left thinks of black folks who step out of their carefully prescribed thought box.
