Self-styled comedian, anti-Trumper and all-around moron Kathy Griffin was officially canned from hosting CNN’s New Years Eve show early Wednesday afternoon, after the red-headed loudmouth took part in a photo shoot in which she held up a mock, bloodied severed head of President Donald Trump.
CNN’s communications team tweeted the following on Wednesday:
CNN has terminated our agreement with Kathy Griffin to appear on our New Year's Eve program.

Griffin has hosted the annual program alongside CNN anchor Anderson Cooper since 2007. Cooper vocally condemned Griffin's photo Tuesday, calling it "disgusting and completely inappropriate."
Following a wave of backlash from both sides of the ideological aisle – including a host of left-wing pundits, media members, and even Chelsea Clinton – Griffin issued a videoed apology for her exceedingly poor taste.
I am sorry. I went too far. I was wrong. pic.twitter.com/LBKvqf9xFB

For their part, the First Family seemed none-too-pleased with Griffin’s stunt, with President Trump tweeting that Griffin was “sick” and saying his 11-year-old son, Barron, was having a tough time dealing with the image.
Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!

First Lady Melania Trump put out a brief but strong statement condemning the photo and questioning Griffin’s mental health.
