Hillary Clinton’s campaign is encouraging people to support Clinton’s candidacy because she is a woman.
The Clinton campaign sent an email to supporters yesterday titled, “Will you help elect the first woman president?”
The fundraising email, equipped with an emoji of a crying smiley face, stated, “It doesn’t look like you’ve pitched in so far from this email address.”
“But that’s OK!” the email claimed. “You’ve still got time before the deadline to help build the organization that’s going to elect the first woman president.”
Previously, Clinton has gone on record saying she does not want people to vote for her “simply” because she’s a woman, but because one of her merits is that she is a woman.
