Does it fit well in the brain to hope that, if one is going to be a hypocrite, he or she at least should try to be consistently hypocritical?
Evidently, it does in the brain-box of John Kerry, the former U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, former U.S. Secretary of State, and the man who now services his ego and fuels our fire by leapfrogging all over the planet to deride our choice of fuels and living standards, even as he lives high on the hog and weaves terror tales about an incipient “Climate Apocalypse” – the arrival of which keeps getting pushed back.
Yes. Mr. Kerry (despite the Constitution not allowing it, we’re supposed to address him as “Climate Czar and Chief Mucky-Muck,” or something) has sucked-up a lot of oxygen sermonizing to us about how we have to cut back our travel, change our energy consumption, and even use only the kinds of “green steel” he ordains acceptable. And now, a new study shows us just how much of that eeeevil “carbon” he’s emitted flying around the globe to warn people not to fly around the globe.
Collin Anderson writes for the Washington Free Beacon that Mr. Kerry is keeping up his holier-than-thou hypocrisy:
“In his role as President Joe Biden's climate czar, John Kerry has flown more than 180,000 miles—flights that emitted more than 9.5 million pounds of carbon, a Washington Free Beacon analysis found.”
Likely that Czar Kerry might want to chastise them for doing that analysis. After all, how much energy did they use conducting it?
“The Free Beacon reviewed 75 of Kerry's official travel announcements from March 2021 to July 2022, which show Kerry has flown roughly 180,100 miles—the equivalent of traveling around the world more than seven times—to discuss climate change with various world leaders. Planes on average produce 53.3 pounds of carbon dioxide per mile traveled, according to carbon emissions modeling website BlueSkyModel, meaning Kerry's flights have produced 9.54 million pounds, or 4,772 tons, of carbon—roughly 300 times the average American's carbon footprint for an entire year. From May 13, 2021, to May 19, 2021, for example, Kerry traveled to Rome, London, and Berlin before returning stateside. Those flights total roughly 10,100 miles and 538,000 pounds of carbon.”
And that doesn’t include his family, who, as I reported in April for MRCTV, get to fly in a private jet as they desire.

And in all that travel, one wonders why Mr. Kerry hasn’t stumbled on the fact that the Anthropogenic Climate Change narrative is collapsing, even as he and others try to gin up more unwarranted fear.
Not only is carbon dioxide not to be feared, and not only does global temperature change precede atmospheric carbon dioxide change in his pal Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth” graph, the latest satellite temperature report tells us that even John Kerry’s apostacy through all those flights is not increasing world temp.
As Chris Morrison reports for The Daily Skeptic, readings indicate that there has been an eight-year COOLING trend.
“Earlier this year, we published a graph showing satellite temperature measurements since the start of the latest pause up to March 2022. It indicated a global cooling trend of 0.14°C a century. Another five months on and the near eight-year pause continues, as does the almost unchanged cooling trend. Since the high point back in 1998, global warming has run out of steam. A pause from that date to about 2012 has now been followed by the latest eight year hiatus, with just a two-year period of mild warming in between.”
This, even as Kerry, Greta Thunberg, Nancy Pelosi, Gavin Newsom, Joe Biden, and others hand-wring over falsehoods and fantasies, as they insist on pushing us and our energy choices around, and as our energy bills skyrocket due to the inflated money supply and government policies that seem designed to restrict the supply of cheap oil, coal, and natural gas, in order to force us into their solar-wind-electric-battery dystopia.
The Free Beacon’s Anderson nicely summarizes the government fraud:
“It's unclear how many miles Kerry will have to fly to solve climate change, an issue he's called an ‘existential … crisis.’ It's also unclear exactly how Kerry flies to each location to perform his official duties as climate czar. His office told Fox News that he flies ‘commercially or via military air in his role as Special Presidential Envoy for Climate,’ but Kerry's press releases do not reveal which option is utilized for each individual trip. The top Biden official's government Twitter account has posted photos of Kerry using electric buses and scooters but has not shared snapshots of his plane travel.”
John doesn’t always fly “commercially” as we know it. Private carriers also are engaged in “commerce.”
And by “military air”, the Climate Czar office staff imply something that might not be. They hint that Kerry tags rides on military aircraft already headed somewhere.
That’s not necessarily the case. He can call on military aircraft to make detours for him. He doesn’t need to hitch a ride and hang out in the back of a cargo section.
But at least he’s working to stop us from emitting all that terrible carbon. From the killing of the Keystone XL pipeline, to denials of drilling and exploration licenses on unjustly held “federal lands,” to the suppression of new refineries, the Bidenistas like Kerry seem to have pulled every trick in the proverbial authoritarian book to restrict our supply of cheap energy.
So, perhaps we just have to accept Kerry’s “for the, but not for me,” haughtiness.
And smile, as we pay higher and higher energy bills.
