Actor Chris Pratt was awarded the Generation Award at the MTV Movie Awards on Monday night and had some passionate things to say about humility and God.

Pratt, known for his work in “Parks and Recreation” and his leading role in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” series, started his acceptance speech by thanking his friends and family. He then dished out “9 Rules From Chris Pratt.”

These include "breathe," "have a soul," and be kind to others.

He gave several pieces of advice such as accepting your imperfections, helping others, and using your intellect and strength wisely.

One piece of advice in particular stood out from the rest. Pratt told the audience to remember, "God is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you."

Pratt has been outspoken about his faith. In a January 2017 interview with Vanity Fair he talked about his faith extensively.
