So apparently “Lil’ Kim” is backing down from his tyrannical, propagandist rhetoric. China gave him a stern talking to, and now China claims that he’s going to put his toys away.

Chinese officials said Wednesday that North Korea’s “supreme leader” Kim Jong-un “pledged his commitment to denuclearization and to meet U.S. officials,” according to Reuters.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry released a statement that included supposed comments from Kim during a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“It is our consistent stand to be committed to denuclearization on the peninsula, in accordance with the will of late President Kim Il Sung and late General Secretary Kim Jong Il,” Kim allegedly said, as stated by the ministry.

Everybody on the Left constantly cried about how President Trump’s war of words with Kim would lead us into armageddon in the form of a nuclear war. Well, it doesn’t look like we’re going to get the result that the Left clamored for.

I thought liberals hated war. I guess I was wrong. They’re always talking about it.

Sometime all a bully like Kim needs is someone to give him a smack on the back of the head in order for him to act right.

However, there was one word that Kim supposedly used in his comments that has this writer saying, “Uh oh. That’s not going to happen.”

“The issue of denuclearization of the Korean peninsula can be resolved, if South Korea and the United States respond to our efforts with goodwill, create an atmosphere of peace and stability while taking progressive and synchronous measures for the realization of peace,” Kim said.

Did you catch that? He used the term “progressive,” which is just a modern — and mostly Americanized way — of saying Socialism.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens at this planned meeting between Trump and Kim to know anything concrete on the decisions Kim might make for his country.

All trepidation aside — if Kim’s supposed comments happen to come to fruition — this is a step in the right direction.
