While the Chicago weekend shooting numbers look like they represent a stark difference from the astonishing numbers from the previous weekend, if you include the day before - last Thursday - into the count, the difference isn't as noticeable.

At least four people were killed and another 19 were wounded in weekend shootings across the Chicagoland area, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. This is down from the previous weekend, which saw an astonishing four people murdered and another 42 wounded. However, as said earlier, if you add in last Thursday alone to the weekend numbers, the difference isn't so vast.

Last Thursday saw five people killed and another nine wounded in shootings across the city. Adding those numbers in to make it a four day span, nine people were killed and another 28 were wounded.

Here are the names of those who died over the weekend, including those shot to death last Thursday:

Rodrigo Rangel, 16

Junius Thurston, 33

Malik Delphie, 22

Demitry Humes, 28

Robert Johnson, 44

Unidentified Male

Unidentified Male

Bobby Berry, 25

Robert Sims, 21

Not including last Thursday's numbers into the total number of Chicago weekend shooting victims that MRCTV has been keeping track of for the entirety of 2020, at least 62 people have been killed in weekend shootings, with another 343 wounded. The Chicago Tribune's numbers for every shooting victims, regardless of the day of the week, has not been updated since the previous week.

Whatever local authorities, Mayor Lori Lightfoot and new Chicago Police Department Superintendent David Brown are doing, it doesn't seem to have any effect on the increasing shooting numbers in the city. And while everyone is focused on racial issues concerning the seemingly tragic shooting of Ahmaud Arbury in Georgia, it still doesn't look as if anyone cares about the people being shot to death almost every single day in Chicago.
