Oh, the city of Chicago — the [insert West Coast city here] of the Midwest. They will place restrictions on regular, law-abiding folks, but ignore the crime plaguing the “Windy City.”

Chicago bureaucrats were at it again on Tuesday as “health officials” announced an extension to the list of states in which travel will be restricted should anyone from said states decides to travel to the city.

According to WGN:

Any unvaccinated individuals traveling from these states and territories are advised to obtain a negative COVID-19 test result no more than 72 hours prior to arrival in Chicago or quarantine for a 10-day period upon arrival.

Vaccinated individuals do not need to quarantine or receive a negative test.

Why the discrimination against unvaccinated individuals when we’re finding out more and more that vaccinated individuals can transmit the disease as well?

Anyway, while it would take less time to list the states where travel to Chicago isn’t restricted from, here’s the revised list of the 31 states and two U.S. territories that are currently part of the travel restriction list:

Alabama

Alaska

Arizona

Arkansas

California

Delaware

Florida

Georgia

Hawaii

Idaho

Indiana

Iowa

Kansas

Kentucky

Louisiana

Mississippi

Missouri

Montana

Nevada

New Mexico

New York

North Carolina

Oklahoma

Oregon

South Carolina

Tennessee

Texas

Utah

Washington

Wisconsin

Wyoming

Puerto Rico

Virgin Islands

Why don’t they just say everyone is restricted from traveling to Chicago? It would save time and would kill the local economy a lot quicker. That’s what they seem to want after all, isn’t it? It’s not for lack of trying.
