See, now this is comedy. Granted it’s of the unintentional variety, but the joke this time is on Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
The co-director of the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center — and a proud Cherokee as well as a Democrat — Rebecca Nagle joined Fox News’ Jesse Watters this past Saturday seemingly for the sole purpose of calling out Warren for her ridiculous claim that she’s might, possibly, maybe, perhaps 1/32 Cherokee.
“As a mixed-Native woman,” Nagle said, “I get to relive the stereotypes that Warren perpetuates everyday.”
While Nagle started off sounding like one of the perpetually offended liberals we hear about on a daily basis, it’s important to note that there’s a difference between being offended just to be offended by something and being offended because someone is using a lie to benefit from a group’s struggle.
Here’s more of what of Nagle told Watters:
People ask me, ‘What part Cherokee are you? Who in your family was Cherokee?’ I’m not part Cherokee. I am Cherokee. I am a citizen of a federally recognized tribe. We are contemporary people. We have vibrant communities. We are not fractions of imagined Indians who used to exist. So, what I would love to see Elizabeth Warren do is take responsibility for her false claim.
Nagle simply wants Warren to stop lying. I know. That’s difficult for a Socialist like Warren to do considering Socialism is primarily based on using lies as narratives.
“A Cherokee genealogist traced her heritage to well before the time of the Trail of Tears,” Nagle said, “and she doesn’t have a single Cherokee ancestor.”
Checkmate. ‘Nuff said.
