CDC Now Says Masks With 'Valves' or 'Vents' Don't Help Prevent Spread of Coronavirus

Well, what do we have here? Is it another one of the “experts” 8,401,386 conflicting Chinese coronavirus edicts that they’ve sent out over the majority of 2020? Why yes. Yes, it is. Who knows maybe these “experts” will stick to their story this time around, but it’s highly doubtful.

The Washington Post actually reported that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) had a recent update to their guidelines and now say that masks with “valves” or vents” doesn’t stop the spread of the virus.

The August 7th “Considerations for Wearing Masks” report listed five different bullet points that include some key words that let you know that they still have no idea whether masks in general are effective or not, unless it comes to whether or not young children or people with breathing issues should be wearing masks:

  • CDC recommends that people wear masks in public settings and when around people who don’t live in your household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
  • Masks [in general] may help prevent people who have COVID-19 from spreading the virus to others.
  • Masks are most likely to reduce the spread of COVID-19 when they are widely used by people in public settings.
  • Masks should NOT be worn by children under the age of 2 or anyone who has trouble breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.
  • Masks with exhalation valves or vents should NOT be worn to help prevent the person wearing the mask from spreading COVID-19 to others (source control).

Notice how they use the words “may” and “most likely” in points two and three that indicate they aren’t sure whether those statements will hold true. But, they wrote the word “NOT” in all capital letters to let you know that “children under the age of 2 or anyone that has trouble breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance” shouldn’t be wearing masks.

So, masks make the vulnerable more vulnerable to further health risks, but they “may” be perfectly fine for the rest of us?

Whatever you say CDC. I give up. I truly want to believe them so that people know that the information provided will actually help them. But, it’s not about these agencies, the doctors, the nurses, or any of these so-called “experts.” It’s about keeping the people in the country safe and healthy. Because without the people, there is no country.
