Gubernatorial candidate for Arizona, Katie Hobbs appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday and confidently explained her radical view on unrestricted abortion. This is surprising coverage from CBS, which was previously silent on the unlimited abortion desires of many Democratic candidates.

According to a Tweeted clip from RNC, host Major Garrett asked “What would the Hobbs’ administration’s week limit be for abortion access? If it’s not 15-weeks, what is it?"

Hobbs tried to beat around the bush in her answer.

Look, abortion is a very personal decision that belongs between a woman and her doctor. The government and politicians don’t belong in that decision. We need to let doctors perform the care that they are trained and take an oath to perform.

Hobbs essentially said that there should be no laws between a woman’s decision to murder her child but for clarification, Garrett reiterated his original question:

“So if an Arizona voter were to conclude from your previous answer that you do not favor any specific week limit on abortion, would they be correct?”

Hobbs’ answer again suggested that no laws should come between a woman and her doctor when deciding whether to dismember an innocent child or not. So, yeah, Hobbs supports abortion up until birth.

While this is surprising, what’s more surprising is that despite Hobbs extreme views on abortion, the media props her up.

MRC's Newsbusters conducted a study of the morning and evening newscasts on ABC, CBS, and NBC regarding extreme abortion views from Democratic candidates. That study indicated that from January 1 to August 31, 2022 there was zero coverage of Democrats' radical anti-life candidates.

While politicians and candidates are entitled to their own views, it would be nice for the rest of the media to actually cover those views so that voters can see the types of people they are actually voting for.

Just last week, Hobbs’s opponent, Kari Lake exposed the bias in many “reporters” pointed questions. When a reporter asked about Lake’s pro-life stance, Lake suggested the reporter’s ask Hobbs about her pro-death stance.

“What I really wanna know, and I’ve been waiting, I tune into you guys all the time, I wanna know where Katie Hobbs stands. I never hear you guys ask her that,” Lake said.

Unfortunately, Lake is right. The media glosses over pro-abortion views while painting pro-life conservatives in the worst light possible.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes for social media to censor the clip from “Face The Nation,” and -- don't hold your breath -- whether the rest of the legacy media follow CBS's lead.
