RIP to all the people who were sipping their coffees Tuesday morning when watching CBS. They undoubtedly spit their drink everywhere when the hosts started talking about ejaculation.

On the Tuesday morning “Talk of the Table” segment for CBS, host Tony Dokoupil promoted a new book that provides a “whole new way to think about abortion,” called “Ejaculate Responsibly.”

The book provides 28 brief arguments for why men are at fault for pregnancies, and therefore the reason women “need” abortions.

Here’s the synopsis from author Gabrielle Blair’s website:

Highly readable, accessible, funny, and unflinching, Blair builds her argument by walking readers through the basics of fertility (men are 50 times more fertile than woman), the unfair burden placed on women when it comes to preventing pregnancy (90% of the birth control market is for women), the wrongheaded stigmas around birth control for men (condoms make sex less pleasurable, vasectomies are scary and emasculating), and the counterintuitive reality that men, who are fertile 100% of the time, take little to no responsibility for preventing pregnancy.

It’s an interesting concept to say the least, but it was cringey to hear CBS dedicate so much time to talking about ejaculation. And unfortunately, the discussion didn't stop there.

“Whether you think it’s a problem to be solved or a right to be fought for, no one’s rooting for abortion," Dokoupil said.

While I wish he were right, we’ve seen numerous celebrities praising abortions, protestors celebrating them, and state legislatures passing laws that glamorize the practice.

Dokoupil then noted that unwanted pregnancies are the “main cause and driver” for abortions, seeming to contradict the leftist narrative that abortions happen most often when the mother’s life is in danger, or because of financial instability and possible birth defects. The reality that Dokoupil notes, and that most people already realize, is that most abortions are elective abortions of a baby the woman never wanted to conceive in the first place.

Which brings us back to the book.

“There's certain guys that use certain methods. I tell them ‘you can’t even pull out of a driveway. Use a method that works," co-host Nate Burleson added.

Dokoupil insisted that he’d be passing the book “Ejaculate Responsibly” for Christmas gifts.

Hey, at least the book and segment promoted safe sex and birth control for BEFORE a woman gets pregnant, not after. Kudos for that, but maybe save the ejaculation segments for an hour other than breakfast time.
