CBC Under Fire for Cutting Out Trump ‘Home Alone 2’ Scene – Says It Was ‘Edited for Time’

CBC TV in Canada has come under fire for cutting out a scene in the Christmas movie “Home Alone 2” that featured President Donald Trump.

Donald Trump Jr. was among many who took to Twitter to blast the network, calling it petty and “pathetic” for allegedly choosing to remove the scene this year.

The scene shows Macaulay Culkin as main character Kevin McCallister walking into the Plaza Hotel in New York and running into Trump.

Trump was on screen for not even 10 seconds, but side-by-side comparisons of the original and CBC TV’s version show his cameo completely removed.

Amid the backlash online, a spokesman for Canadian Broadcasting Corporation told Yahoo Entertainment in a statement that Trump's scene from the 1992 film was, indeed, cut, but was “edited for time,” not because of politics.

"As is often the case with feature films adapted for television, Home Alone 2 was edited for time," the statement read. "The scene with Donald Trump was one of several that were cut from the movie as none of them were integral to the plot. These edits were done in 2014 when we first acquired the film and before Mr. Trump was elected president."

Trump on Twitter jokingly fired back, saying, “The movie will never be the same!”

He made sure to throw in a jab at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as well:
