A Connecticut man frantically called 911 after his cat attacked him in his home Thursday morning. The feline reportedly stopped the man and his wife from entering their home for nearly four hours before they ended up calling the police.

The homeowner blamed the situation on the fact that the 7.5 pound cat had given birth to kittens earlier in the day before they had left the house. The man said, “I cannot go inside in my home... The problem is that my cat was getting too aggressive.”

The cat was apparently waiting for the opportunity of a lifetime to rise up and conquer her human masters. He continued: “Five minutes ago, I tried to open the door again, and she (was) waiting in the door.”

Eventually, the man entered the house, where the cat was separated from the family for the night to let cooler heads prevail.
