Rapper Cardi B is the latest celeb to throw in the towel on America – supposedly – thanks to President Donald Trump, saying she’s applying for Nigerian citizenship because Trump is “putting Americans [sic] lives in danger" by pushing back on escalating Iranian aggression.

In a barely coherent tweet that ignores nearly every basic standard of grammar and spelling, Cardi B tweeted:

The music artist (by a loose stretch of the term) asked fans for help convincing her husband, fellow rapper Offset, to move to Africa with her and their daughter, Kulture.

Now, far be it from me to tell a celebrity where they can or cannot move, particularly one who can’t see the very benefits in the country that has so richly provided her a path up from urban poverty to making mega millions thanks to capitalism.

But it’s worth noting that Nigeria, which Cardi B apparently believes has enough of a leg-up on the USA to justify transferring her citizenship, has its own slew of domestic problems right there in-house, including violence and the kidnapping of young girls by Boko Haram, mass poverty and malnutrition, government oppression and inhumane detention camps, forced evictions, police brutality and torture, social inequality, crackdowns on free speech, and that pesky mass genocide against Christians that no one in the media ever cares to mention.

But please, feel free to head on over, Cardi B. Just be sure not to trash their government once you get there - I hear that's not received well.
