Caravan Update: Second Caravan Clashes with Police, Storms Fence at Guatemala Border

In a pair of shocking videos recorded by Azteca Noticias, the second caravan of migrants are shown clashing with police at the border gate between Guatemala and Mexico.

Waves of migrants numbering in the hundreds hurl rocks and whatever objects they can use as projectiles in their assault upon the border.

At least in these videos, the Mexican authorities appear to be making an effort to hold them back, while other reports indicate Mexican government agencies are allowing them safe passage through the country.

The yellow gate they are trying to breach, according to Breitbart, is the "...last barrier in Guatemala before the migrants entered an international port of entry on top of the Suchiate River that divides the two countries."

The AP's coverage of this ongoing migrant caravan crisis notes that the migrants have refused asylum in Mexico, even though they were reportedly offered shelter, schooling, temporary employment, and medical care. This was part of Mexican president Pena Nieto's “Estás en tu casa” (translated: "You are in your home") project that would eventually lead to permanent refugee status.

Oscar Sosa, a 58-year-old migrant from Honduras, put it bluntly when he told the AP, "Our goal is not to remain in Mexico... Our goal is to make it to the (U.S). We want passage, that’s all.”

Predictably, former president Barack Obama has tried to gaslight and discredit Republicans about their concerns regarding the caravan which some say is well over 7,000 people, claiming that “...a bunch of impoverished, malnourished refugees 1,000 miles away” does not pose a risk to American sovereignty, adding, “Don’t fall for that kind of fear-mongering, because while they are distracting you with all this stuff, they’re robbing you blind.”

What Obama neglects to mention here is that security and safety risks aside, thousands of migrants with families in tow have the power to shift the electorate in favor of Democratic policies by their votes and their descendants' votes. An open border is a surefire way to demographically rig future elections in the Democrats' favor by importing populations that statistically vote in favor of Socialist policies. Fox News host Tucker Carlson has notably called out and condemned this tactic on his show, equating it with foreign interference.
