A candidate for Libertarian Party chair embraced the party’s stereotype of being the home for “let it all hang out” libertines when he stripped during the (live-televised) Libertarian National Convention.

James Weeks told the crowd at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, “Well, after all the fun we’ve had today, I figured this… We could use a little bit of fun.”

Weeks then proceeded to strip off his clothes.

The crowd, which was first supportive, quickly starting “booing” as Weeks took off his shirt and unzipped his pants. Weeks then stripped all the way down to a thong.

At the end of his routine, Weeks said, “I’m sorry. That was a dare. I’m going to go ahead and drop out.”

Weeks was allegedly speaking in support of vice presidential candidate Derrick Grayson when he decided to strip off his clothes. The Hill reports a delegate tried to revoke Weeks’ Libertarian Party membership in response to the striptease.
