Much like many others who have already left New York City, former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly has decided that she’s had enough and is leaving as well.

During the Monday edition of “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast, the host spoke about “far-left” New York schools being the reason for her family’s decision to depart the Big Apple.

After years of resisting it, we’re going to leave the city. And we pulled our boys from their school, and our daughter is going to leave hers too. The schools, they’ve always been far-left, which doesn’t align with my own ideology, but I didn’t really care. Most of my friends are liberals, it’s fine. I come from Democrats as a family. I’m not offended at all by the ideology, and I lean center-left on some things. But they’ve gone around the bend. I mean, they have gone off the deep end.

Kelly’s not wrong. Growing up in a North suburban Chicago public school system in the 1980s and 90s, schools in big metropolitan areas seemed to all have that left-of-center tinge to them. But some of us got out unscathed somehow.

Here's a clip of the segment in question, which was posted to Kelly's show's Twitter profile:

And Kelly’s isn’t the only family leaving New York City, as The New York Post reported on Sunday that “more than 300,000 New Yorkers have bailed on the Big Apple in the last eight months,” and that could be on the low-end.

According to The Post:

City residents filed 295,103 change of address requests from March 1 through Oct. 31, according to data The Post obtained from the US Postal Service [USPS] under a Freedom of Information Act [FOIA] request.

Since the data details only when 11 or more forwarding requests were made to a particular county outside NYC, the number of moves is actually higher. And a single address change could represent an entire household, which means far more than 300,000 New Yorkers fled the five boroughs.

Unfortunately, a large and growing portion of public schools across the country have become nothing more than indoctrination centers. A video of a parent in Los Angeles surfaced back in August in which he spoke of how his child’s school principal flat out told him that the school is partnering with the Marxist Black Lives Matter (BLM) organization.

Politics have always, to a degree, been slid into public school lessons, and they’ve typically had a tilt to the left. The difference today is that they’re not even hiding it anymore.

Maybe that’s what happens when you put government in charge of pretty much anything — it gets perverted from its original intention.
