A word to the wise: if you’re going to avoid paying your taxes, don’t make a video about it and post it on social media.
And definitely, definitely don’t make a video about it and then threaten to murder one of the most famous people in the world.
That’s the predicament one not-so-bright leftist has landed herself in after she posted a video to TikTok calling for Elon Musk to be assassinated before admitting she hasn't paid taxes in nearly a decade and doesn't think anyone will notice.
“Elon Musk…like…we need to X him. And by ‘X’ I mean, formerly known as assassination,” the woman, who goes by Sarah C. Roberts in her TikTok handle, said on the video, adding that she “doesn’t care” if the FBI shows up at her door.
“Arrest me. You don’t even have enough people to investigate me at this point. I haven’t filed by taxes in like, eight years and yet, no one’s come for me,” she taunted.
“So I’m gonna say it: let’s assassinate some motherf***ers,” Roberts then concludes.

And oh, how wrong she was.
Turns out, when you say dumb things on the internet, people tend to hear you. And they share it. And sometimes, your idiocy makes its way all the way up the chain to, for example, a federal lawyer.
Interim US Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin got wind of the woman’s video and responded on X, “Thx for letting us know. We’ll put you in the system. Talk soon, M’am.”
Looks like that knock on the door might come a bit sooner than this woman anticipated. And it might arrive with a nice fat tax bill and a set of handcuffs.
